Santa Fe Airport: Santa Fe airport is about 1 hours drive south of River Spirit. American Eagle Airlines (http://www.aa.com/) is currently operating three daily flights out of Santa Fe from and to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW).
American Eagle Airlines is also operating a daily flight serving Santa Fe to and from Los Angeles (LAX).
International: The nearest international airport to us is Albuquerque Sunport. ABQ is the airport code. It is 2 hours south of River Spirit.
Sometimes European visitors get better rates flying to either Phoenix , Arizona (PHX) or Denver, Colorado (DEN). Flying to either of these places will involve an extra 8-9 hours travel, either by bus or car. It is a nice way to get to see the Southwest and explore some of the scenery. You can also fly from Phoenix or Tucson to Albuquerque with Southwest airlines: http://www.southwest.com/.There are also direct flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Albuquerque with Southwest.
If you fly to Albuquerque, there are shuttle services to Santa Fe and Taos. There is also a rail service from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, with links to the airport. The City of Albuquerque website gives a good over view of all the options for the city. http://www.cabq.gov/airport/ground-transportation
Here are direct links to some of the services. Please note that these services are subject to change. The economy and rail service has impacted transportation and so you need to make reservations before you arrive in Albuquerque, to be sure that the shuttle is actually still servicing the airport.
Rail Service http://www.nmrailrunner.com/
with links to the airport via the Airport Express shuttle.
The Railway ends in Santa Fe and you will need to be picked up there.
Our physical address is 1858, HWY 68, one mile north of Embudo Station. Some of the shuttle services will be willing to drop you at the house. Others may prefer to drop you either at Embudo Post office or near Dr. Padberg's office, up the highway from us. If that is so, find out your expected arrival time and let us know before you travel. Cell Phone/mobile/handy reception in the valley is poor, so most likely, you will be unable to contact us once you are dropped off.
